Modern Storage Benches
Our home is cute,
and I love it, but omg! is it tiny. So, as I’m sure you can imagine, figuring out storage is a never-ending challenge. Given our lack-of-space situation I knew a storage bench (or two) was going to be a non-negotiable when it came to furnishing our space. However, when I started looking for options I quickly realized finding one that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing is easier said than done. Most storage benches look like, well, storage benches (aka they’re chunky and not all that chic), and that just wasn’t going to work for me, especially in a space where the storage bench would be an integral part of the decor and design.
After months of searching (because apparently finding good modern storage benches is like finding a needle in a haystack), I finally found the bench we have today. It comes in several sizes and colors (we got the 60” in Winter White) and I absolutely love it! The design is modern, the material is pretty, it’s sturdy, it’s comfy and, of course, there’s storage for all our games, entertainment items and a few other miscellaneous pieces inside. Plus, our Frame TV box fits perfectly underneath, hiding it from plain view and solving another one of our small space design dilemmas. It has been, by far, one of the best furniture pieces I’ve ever purchased, which you know is saying something since I also rarely buy furniture that isn’t vintage or thrifted.
I’ve already shared this bench quite a bit over on the ‘gram, and every time I do, I always get comments and questions about it. Cleary, I’m not the only struggling to find modern storage bench options. So, since I gathered a link or two for some other options in the midst of all my research, I figured I’d put them together to share in a post with you all.
