Hutton Hotel-20

I've walked into quite a few places where I've thought to myself "Honey, I'm hoooooome!" Ok, who am I kidding? I typically yell it loud enough that my husband will get the hint, much to his dismay. But I digress. As I was saying, I've walked into quite a few places that I wouldn't mind calling home, but it's not often that they actually make me feel at home. The Hutton Hotel in Nashville made me feel at home. From the very beginning of the stay when they pleasantly greeted us right at the door until the very end when they wished us well on our travels and every day in between, we were made to feel welcome and at home, all within a space that is sleek and refined yet warm and inviting.

As soon as you enter this conveniently located hotel, you'll find yourself within the middle of the elegant lobby and lounge areas. Whether you want a quiet corner to relax in, a couch from which to enjoy your glass of Happy Hour wine (Oh yes! There's a wine happy hour....every night...complimentary. Get involved!), or an area to gather with your friends, you're covered. You're also covered if you need reading material, a bite to eat (there's a cute little coffee/breakfast bar open in the mornings and their restaurant, 1808 Grille, is also available for meals) or art to peruse (there's a whole gallery wall of beautiful prints available for purchase).

Up in the rooms, everything is clean, comfortable, luxurious and inviting. We stayed in a suite, which gave us ample room for sleeping, lounging, working and, let's be honest, for all the shoes I just had to bring with me. No shoe left behind, am I right ladies?!

One of my favorite things about this eco and pet-friendly hotel (Yes, that's right! Your furry friends are more than welcome!), was all the attention to detail. Well before our trip, I received an emailed form from the hotel regarding any specific requests or needs we might have, anything from extra pillows and towels to what paper we would like in the morning (Talk about service!). They offer in-room dining 24/7 and, while we only got drinks to the room, what I liked even more than the drinks (not that they were bad) was that they were brought to us on an old record. So freaking cool, right? And my other favorite feature (that I totally geeked out about like a 5-year-old kid) was the showers. I know, I know, that sounds weird that I would get so excited about a shower, but get this. The showers turn on with the simple push of a button! Saaaaay what??! They also are instantly set at the perfect temperature, however there are additional buttons for you to easily adjust the temperature up and down. There's also an option to save your shower preference presets so you can easily go to it next time you hop in the shower. My mind was totally blown! What a cool, and totally eco-friendly, water-saving feature!

A few other things to note- their turn down service included some delicious chocolate covered graham bars (Get them! They are heaven!), there is a coffee corner on each floor, complete with flavored syrups (I may or may not have gone a little overboard putting all the syrups {vanilla, hazelnut and caramel} in one cup of coffee. Don't judge me!) and there are comfy robes and slippers in every room.

Last but certainly not least, as it was one of my favorite things about the hotel, was the staff. They were legit the nicest people I've ever met. Like, I wanted to become friends with all of them because they were just that kind. From simply greeting us and asking how we were, to giving us suggestions, to striking up a conversation, to helping with whatever we needed, they all went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Southern hospitality at it's finest, my friends.

Ok, so I know I threw a crazy amount of words at you, but it's so hard not to when I'm just so excited about something. But just in case you were like "I can't handle this girl and all her words!", I'm highlighting my favorite need-to-know points below (and you can see a full list of their amenities here):

*Eco-friendly

*Furry friends welcome

*Valet parking on-site

*Free shuttle bus that will take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the hotel (We had it take us to Pinewood Social as well as downtown)

*Wine happy hour every night

*Morning paper delivery of your choice to your room

*Coffee corner on every floor

*Conveniently located around the corner from THE Hattie B's , as well as some other great restaurants and bars, one of the top brunch spots in the city, Tavern, Music Row and downtown

And in case that still wasn't enough to convince you to stay here, let's just say it may or may not be the choice hotel for the who's who when they come to town, a few who we may or may not have encountered in our own stay. I won't say who, because I don't kiss and tell....well, really, I don't go around kissing anyone but my husband...but obviously, you know if it's thespot that the who's who are calling home when they come to Nashville, then it's probably the spot you'll want to call home, too!
