My Go-To Clean Beauty Makeup Products

My Go-To Clean Beauty Makeup Products

I recently snagged a few new (and new-to-me) clean beauty makeup products, all of which I have become obsessed with, so I wanted to share them with y’all as they’ve quickly earned their place as my go-to clean beauty makeup products.

I’ve been trying to do a better job about using certain things up before buying new ones so as not to be so wasteful (i.e. I don’t need to have three types of setting powder, ya know what I’m saying?), so most of the new products are ones that are replacing things I’ve finished up. And, of course, there’s a few tried-and-true favorites that I’ll never replace, like my Ilia Skin Tint or my W3LL People Bronzer, thrown into the mix, as well.

I was recently mentioning a few of these products on my Instagram stories, so I figured, why not just go ahead and create a makeup look using them versus just talking about them? A few technical difficulties later (because I’m the genius who decided to share a makeup tutorial despite having zero clue how to actually film one! Ha!) and it’s finally live (you can watch the video here)! This look is pretty much my go-to for getting dressed up/going out. Aka a warm smoky eye and glowy bronze skin. Tbh, it’s kind of funny. As much as I love trying new clean beauty products, I don’t really like trying new makeup looks. What can I say? I know what I like and I like what I like. So, without further ado, here’s everything I used in the video tutorial, along with some notes on the products.

Go-To Clean Beauty Makeup Products

RMS “re” evolve Radiance Locking Primer

’ve always been hit or miss with primers, unsure if I really even need one or if they really even help all that much. But I have to say that I’m beyond obsessed with this one! Like I’ve gone from someone who never understood primers to someone who vastly notices the difference (and not in a good way) when I skip it. This RMS one just makes my skin feel silky smooth, and my makeup just glides right on so flawlessly. I can tell it definitely helps my make-up stay on longer and appear more dewy and less cakey, and keeps powder and concealer from forming those dreaded lines (you know the ones I mean). I also absolutely love that it’s in a re-fillable container to help create less waste.

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint (shade- ST9 Paloma)

My holy grail for skin that looks like you, but better; perfect amount of coverage for everyday, super lightweight, almost like you don’t even have anything on (almost!)

Drunk Elephant Bronzing Drops

I’ve spoken about this product a few times before, but it’s solidly in my make-up drawer as a holy grail product. It’s seriously the best for giving skin the perfect bronze glow. And this small bottle lasts forever. I’m still on my first container and I use it every time I wear makeup. But a little goes a long way. Just mix 1/2-1 pump into whatever foundation/tinted moisturizer you’re using before applying to your face.

W3LL People Bio Correct Concealer (shade- medium)

My go-to concealer for acne or any other blemishes on my face that need to be covered; if I have particularly dark circles under my eyes I will also use this there, after applying the Ilia highlighter to brighten the area, and before applying my usual brightening under-eye concealer

Ilia Concealer (shade- sc2 Yucca)

When I ran out of my Kosas concealer, I decided to try this Ilia one; I always use something lighter and brighter for a concealer under my eyes (and alongside my nose, if needed), so this formula is perfect for that, but in my opinion, it’s not nearly thick enough if you need blemishes covered. I also, as a note, I use my thicker W3LL people concealer to help cover my circles, applying that before any of my other eye makeup. I then use my lighter concealer, in this case, this Ilia one, as my final step in my eye makeup as a way to brighten the area as well as concealing any darker specks of makeup that might have dropped underneath my eye area while I was applying my shador, mascara, etc.

Kosas Cloud Set Powder (shade- Comfy)

Similarly to primers, I’ve never had a good experience with powders and have really struggled to find one I like that a) actually works and b) doesn’t feel, well, too powdery. This one seems to be doing the trick perfectly so far! Perfectly sets my concealer so that it lasts but honestly doesn’t even feel like (or look like) I have powder on, which is a major win in my book!

W3LL People Bio Base Baked Bronzer (shade- 1 natural tan)

Go-to for a good natural looking golden glow

Tower 28 BeachPlease Tinted Balm (shade-Magic Hour)

So the unofficial theme of this post seems to be make-up products I love but haven’t used or loved in the past (aka the primer and powder), and now I’m adding another one to the list with this balm that I’ve been using as blush. This stuff is amazing and has firmly converted me from someone who didn’t own blush to someone who now can’t live without. Well, can’t live without this one. It’s just so perfect. Just the right amount of color, blends seamlessly, looks so natural, perfectly dewy and a little goes a long way. 10/10 recommend!

Kosas Brow Pop Pencil (shade- medium brown)

I’ve never had a brow pencil glide on as smoothly as this one. Fills brows so effortlessly and so perfectly, is long lasting and doesn’t bleed or smudge, and looks so natural. This baby has quickly earned itself a permanent place in my makeup drawer!

Brow Gel

An Amazon find that I’ve been using and loving for several months; you can’t beat the price, either! The only thing is that I find that it actually applies better when you use the brush side of this type of brush versus the one that comes with it.

Han Eyeshadow (shade- Cool Coconut)

I’m usually not picky when it comes to eyeshadow, so I ordered this one on a whim when looking for a lighter cream-colored shadow, but omg! it’s so good! It’s super pigmented so a little goes a long way, the color is beautifully, it’s amazing for brightening up the eye area or as a base for a smoky eye (like I did here), and I LOVE that the packaging ins made from recycled paper and can be recycled when you’re done with it. I also love using it to line my inner eyelid and in the corners of my eyes as a way to make them look bigger and to really pop.

Tarte Eyeshadow Palette

I use a few different shades from my palette for both my eyeshadow (in the crease) as well as my eyeliner. My exact palette is a few years old, but this one is almost identical.

Milk Kush Lash Primer

The best clean lash primer to help get nice full lashes

Beauty Counter Mascara

Woooowwow! Hello lashes! Best volumizing (clean or not) mascara I think I have ever tried!

RMS Luminizer (shade- Magic)

The name does not lie, this stuff is straight magic!

Lips

Most of my product shades are no longer available, or are now available in updated versions. My Chantecaille Lip Definer is most like their current shade “Tone”, my Aveda lipstick is similar to this one or this one and, the one thing still currently available, my favorite Kosas Lip Oil in “Malibu”.
