What to Pack for Banff + Jasper

What to Pack for Banff + Jasper

Happy Monday! As i'm sure you guys are aware by now, we've been hanging out in Canada avoiding the election exploring Banff and Jasper. I've pretty much been at a loss for words since we've arrived because this place is just so darn beautiful. Everywhere you look, natural beauty abounds. And the wildlife makes you feel like you're in a zoo...except, you're not. We've seen everything from bald eagles to bighorn sheep to elk hanging out right outside our Airbnb (cuz that's normal here, apparently). The long short of it is, I can't wait to share all our photos and details with you. In the mean time, though, if you haven't come here, just know that you need to ASAP. And when you do, here's what to pack for Banff and Jasper (based on what I packed and what I've found helpful/wish I had brought for our 9 day trip in the middle of November)-

Coats Down jacket (Hands down, the best purchase I made for this trip! Can't recommend it enough!) Fleece (Great for layering.) Puffy jacket Puffy vest (Another great layering piece, and perfect for when I need to stay warm without putting on a whole bunch of layers.)

*While it's normally very difficult to pack for a winter trip, as you need layers and everything is huge and puffy, I really love the Uniqlo Ultra-light down puffy jackets and vests because they roll up to the size a small umbrella making them super easy to pack.

Tops 6 turtlenecks (These are great for everything-hiking, dinner, drinks, layering, lounging, etc) 2 flannels 2 sweaters (this one and this one) 1 white t-shirt 1 chambray shirt 1 sweatshirt 1 cardigan 1 tank top

Pants 3 pairs of jeans (one skinny, one boyfriend, one black) 2 pairs of leggings (one thermal, one regular) 1 pair of sweat pants 1 skirt (not necessary but I like to always have a dressy option on hand)

Shoes Hiking boots (The most-used shoes of the trip...these are super comfy, durable & waterproof.) Sorel boots Booties Sneakers Knee-high bootsPackable slippers *a pair of plain flats would also be helpful

Miscellaneous 6 pairs of wool socks 3 small bags (Only this was necessary, the other two are simply for outfit photos #bloggerproblems) 3 scarves 2 hats 2 pairs of gloves 2 pairs of sunnies 2 pairs of pajamas 1 wide-brimmed wool hat 1 bathing suit (for the hot springs) 1 tote bag 1 pair of tights (good for dressing up or layering under jeans if it's cold) 1 blanket (because you never know when you're going to need to bundle up...or set-up an Instagram ;)

Beauty Sunscreen (for your face) A thick face cream, hand cream and body cream A moisturizing over-night face mask (to repair dry skin) Chapstick (an absolute must) Avene thermal water (calms skin after it's wind burned and all red from the cold)
