MY FAVORITE JENNI KAYNE SHOES

I think by now it’s no secret that my love for Jenni Kayne sweaters runs deep. But I’ve got another JK love and I’m just now realizing that we have not talked about it nearly enough. So it’s time, time that Jenni Kayne shoes enter the chat. Have you tried them yet? Because I’m telling you, if you’re only shopping Jenni for sweaters, you’re missing out. High quality, classic and chic styles, designs that last. Outside of sneakers and flip flops, these are the shoes that I’m reaching for most, especially when I want an easy way to elevate an outfit without having to reach for a pair of heels.

Below, I’m sharing more about each pair of Jenni Kayne shoes that I have, my favorites, how they fit, how to style them and more.

available in: saddle (pictured), black, olive, taupe, sand

fit: true-to-size

feel: the leather is really soft and comfortable so this feel super easy to wear

perfect for: making any outfit look elevated and chic

These leather knot sandals are probably the Jenni Kayne shoe that I reach for the most. They’re just so easy to wear. And yet, despite how casual these sandals are, they still manage to make even the simplest of outfits look elevated and chic. I find myself reaching for them to pair with everything from yoga pants and a hoodie to run casual errands, or t jeans and a t-shirt all the way to a more dressy outfit for brunch, lunch and sometimes even dinner.

available in: natural (pictured)

fit: true-to-size

feel: like slippers that you can wear outside, super comfortable and easy to wear

perfect for: casual outfits, running errands, market shopping, paired with leggings and your favorite workout ‘fits

These shearling slides are so fun! Much more casual, yet still chic, and super comfortable and easy to wear! I like them with relaxed day time outfits for running errands, grabbing coffee, going out for a casual meal, etc. but they’d also be great paired with a workout set if you’re heading to a pilates or yoga studio, and they’d even make a great house slipper/shoe.

available in: black, taupe, natural (pictured)

fit: true-to-size

feel: comfortable and easy to wear

perfect for: anytime you want something casual but still elevated and makes a bit of a statement

These shearling mules were one of my first pairs of Jenni Kayne shoes and let me tell you, it was love at first site. Well, actually, it was love long before that. I pined over these babies for several years before finally getting them and my only regret is that I didn’t get them sooner. They’re just the coziest little fluffy clouds for your feet and I swear they make every fall outfit look better. And, while they’re chic and elevated, they’re still just funky enough to make a statement (I swear I get asked about these every time I wear them!) so they’re the perfect way to jazz up even the most basic of outfits.

available in: black (pictured), cognac

fit: true-to-size

feel: comfy, especially as far as loafers are concerned; they do take a few wears to break in and can give you a blister or two if you wear them too long so I wouldn’t advice walking in them all day, but otherwise they’re great

perfect for: elevated looks for brunch and lunch dates, if you want to look more pulled together when running errands, work

Whenever I want to look instantly put together and more European/city chic, I throw on these croc embossed loafers. They just do the trick every time. Walking in them all day can be a little much (after about 6 hours I tend to get a blister), but as far as loafers are concerned these are definitely far comfier than some other brands that I’ve tried and they’re just a good classic to have in your closet.

available in: walnut, forest, black

fit: runs a bit snug, especially once you have socks on, so if you’re between sizes go up to the next closest size

feel: very solid and heavy duty yet comfortable

perfect for: fall and winter outfits, day trips and outdoor adventures

I was never a lug boot girly…until I met the Brooklyn Lug Boots. These totally changed the lug boot game for me. They’re just more sleek and streamlined and chic and despite being more heavy duty, they’re still incredibly comfortable and easy to walk around in for hours at a time. Plus, they’re incredibly durable. Just the boot you need for fall and winter adventures from city to coast and everything in between!

available in: black (pictured), tan

fit: runs a bit snug, especially once you have socks on, so if you’re between sizes go up to the next closest size

feel: super sturdy but also really comfortable

perfect for: fall and winter day trips and outings; I also like to wear them as another rain boot option on winter days that are cold and wet

I constantly go back and forth on if I prefer these Mountain Boots or the lug boots because they’re both just so good and they both work so well for so many of the same types of situations. I think part of preference just comes down to looks and the outfit I happen to be wearing, but these mountain boots are definitely ones you can’t go wrong with in the fall/winter.

available in: natural (pictured), laurel, saddle

fit: runs a bit snug

feel: another pair of JK shoes that feels like slippers that you can wear outside, super comfortable and easy to wear

perfect for: running errands, fall day trips, casual brunch, paired with a matching sweat set

If you like Birks but want something a bit more elevated then the shearling-lined croc mocs are for you. Durable yet streamlined, comfortable yet chic. A JK classic for a reason.
