Happy Hour No. 187

Jenni Kayne mules

// COZY FEET

1

I’ve had my eye on these Jenni Kayne mules for years so I couldn’t be more excited to finally have them in my closet! And just in time to pair them with all the fall outfits, too! P.S. Use my code AlyssaP15 to snag yourself a pair for 15% off!

BEACH CRUISER

// BEACH CRUISER

2

Spotted at the beach: my dream car in my dream color for taking dreamy drives up and down the coast of California

Mocha color nail polish

// MOCHA MANI

3

Obsessed with this nail polish! Not only does it dry in less than 60 seconds, which is basically the best thing ever (Hello, no smudges!), but how pretty is this mocha color?! I’ve always found that quick dry polishes never actually dry quickly but now that I know this one actually truly does what it says it will, I’m thinking of also snagging this color and this one.

ANNIVERSARY FLOWERS

// ANNIVERSARY FLOWERS

4

My sweet husband surprised me with these flowers last week to celebrate 12 years since the day we met. And as if that wasn’t sweet enough, he even picked a bouquet that had yellow and purple since he was wearing a shirt with purple and I was wearing yellow heels when we met. I know, I know. How did I get so lucky/I don’t deserve this man.

Playa conditioner

5

If you read my most recent beauty empties post then you probably aren’t surprised by this re-stock of my favorite Playa conditioner. But this time, because I love it so much, I got the even bigger size. Bigger and better, baby! haha

Breakfast burrito from Cerveteca

// BEST BREKKIE BURRITO

6

We eat a ridiculous amount of breakfast burritos on a weekly basis. Ya know, for β€œresearch” purposes, since I’m constantly on a mission to find the best one in LA and all. Someday I promise I will compile a list of them all, but for now, all you need to know is that this breakfast burrito from Cerveteca, along with the one from Great White, continued to be tied for my first place favorite (Erewhon’s follows closely behind). For me, it’s all about the supreme crispiness factor and the spicy aioli sauce that comes on the side. If you get it, be sure to ask for extra on the side!

  • If you’re like me and have been glued to the news and social media, feeling hopeless and devastated by recent events, here are a few ways to help with a few of them:

    -Afghanistan: a list of places helping those coming in with SIV, donate your miles to help refugees get flights, donate here to help an animal rescue and their staff get out, an Amazon list via this post of items going to help refugees, another list of places and organizations providing assistance

    -Haiti: a list of organizations helping, a group that provides emergency shelter in areas hit by disaster, another resource full of places and organizations assisting in relief efforts, a group that is on the ground in Haiti providing critical medical assistance and medicine, this mission (which was founded in 1986 by a priest that, after visiting Haiti, felt compelled to move there) serves the poorest of the poor in Haiti and here is how they’re specifically helping in wake of the earthquake and where you can donate to help them help the Haitian people

  • Ilia makes my favorite clean mascara so when they came out with their volumizing mascara, I couldn’t wait to try it! And let me say, it does not disappoint!

  • Speaking of clean beauty, Follain is having a 20% off almost everything sale + free shipping! Ends tomorrow so if you’re looking to stock up on some clean beauty products run, don’t walk, to shop the sale!

  • A very neutral, very much me home tour that is modern, minimal perfection

  • Ok, now this sounds (and looks) like the coolest way to see Utah! Fall trip anyone?!

  • Icebox cake is one of my favorite easy, no-bake summertime desserts, and this one looks especially appetizing to make with juicy, delicious, sweet end-of-summer blackberries
