Southern Style

Do you ever find yourself thinking, writing or even attempting to talk in emojis? Mmmmk, just me?? (Someone-spends-too-much-time-on-social-media problems.) If you think about it, emojis are kind of like the modern day hieroglyphics. Growing up, I had a hieroglyphics stamp kit (oh yes I did!) and it was pretty much my favorite thing ever. I loved nothing more than to stamp out coded (hieroglyphics) messages to anyone and everyone and then squeal in delight as they were stumped (or at least pretended to be stumped) by what I had written out. Now I just try to stump people with endless streams of emojis. So what do emojis and hieroglyphics have to do with this gorgeous dress? Little more than the fact that, in my mind, I was describing this dress with prayer hands, hallelujah hands, confetti, girl-in-the-red-dress, and one big happy face (or maybe even two, if I'm being real crazy). Since emojis don't exist on my keyboard, that would have translated here into some kind of message that would be so confusing it might as well be hieroglyphics. In good ol' plain English, I'm obsessed with this dress. In fact, I'm obsessed with this whole outfit (borrowed from the lovely Luna Boutique, which you can read more about here). Simply using the word "obsessed" didn't seem like nearly enough to convey just how obsessed I am with this dress so naturally I thought hieroglyphic descriptions, pretend emojis, and a few English words might help. Clearly, I'm super normal....
