With the season flying by so quickly, I've hardly had time to shower, let alone pick out my Christmas outfit. However, when we were watching The Holiday (only the best movie ever) last weekend, I got a dose of unexpected inspiration. I've always appreciated the leading ladies' classic style, but something about Cameran Diaz's NYE outfit really caught my eye this time. I quickly realized I had everything in my closet to make a similar outfit. A long white skirt, a velvet cami, simple drop earrings and pops of red. And just like that my Christmas outfit dilemma was solved. In fact, maybe even my NYE outfit dilemma is solved, too. After all, it was a NYE outfit in the movie...

Are you guys all set for this weekend? Quite frankly, I'm still waiting for someone to tell me this whole thing is a joke and that it's really only November 1st. I feel like I still have so much to do/cookies to eat/Christmas movies to watch/presents to buy! So, if you happen to see some girl frantically running around like a maniac searching for gifts, don't worry. That's just me after eating too much Christmas crack (it's just so darn good).

I hope you all enjoy the holiday weekend and festivities. I'll be back with a couple of NYE-themed posts next week before taking a bit of time off in January to prepare for 2017 (side note- can't believe I just typed 2017!).
