Step into the light of the holidays, people! Thanksgiving is over (I hope you stuffed your self silly with way too much turkey, gravy and all-the-other-delicious-things), which can only mean one thing- time for Christmas trees, twinkling lights, presents, hot cocoa....and that I can finally play the N*Sync Christmas album (don't judge me...I wait all year for this moment, and I bet you probably do, too). I still have so much content to post from Italy (I almost feel like I moved there), but I'll be sharing a little less of it this month to make room for all of the Christmas things, like my three gift guides coming later this week. But first....step into the Florence light with me. Hidden behind a large wooden door (that magically opened with just the press of a button), tucked away from the Florence crowds, was our apartment building's beautiful courtyard and stairwells. The moody lighting and the architecture of this structure that's been around for hundreds of years made it irresistible for shooting. And of course, a few extra times up and down the stairs (there were at least 8 flights, possibly more...I lost count right around the time I lost my breath) never hurt anybody, especially anybody who has been living on cheese and carbs. We managed to sneak in these photos just before we had to run off and catch our next train. While the style isn't typical for me, I couldn't help but be influenced by the romantic bohemian Florence/Tuscany vibes and I couldn't resist the way my skirt (that I picked up in a Zara in Milan) matched the colors of the building so well. According to Mr.RC I looked "bohemian country chic", something that might normally offend me, but, with these surroundings, how could anyone really be mad?!
