5 Current Beauty Favorites

5 Current Beauty Favorites

One of the perks of my job,

is that I get sent a plethora of beauty products. Quite frankly, I never expected to get much more than a mailbox of bills as an adult, so, even though I get a few, shall we say, interesting items, at times, I'll still take beauty over bills any day. Plus, it allows me to test things out and then spill the deets with all of you.

These 5 current beauty favorites are a mix of products I've been using for a while now, some purchased, some gifted (but I'll be purchasing once I'm out). Gifted or purchased, I truly love each and every one of them. With more new beauty items on the market than ever, I know it can be easy to throw around the names of products that are trending or exciting. But I also know it can take a while to see the true effects a product has (especially when it comes to skin), and, especially with super-senstivie skin (aka what I have), so I don't take recommending things lightly. In other words, I ain't playing with my recommendations below.

What are some beauty products you're loving lately? Have you tried any of the items on current beauty favorites list?

THE ORDINARY

I finally tried this cult beauty favorite. The prices are unbelievably reasonable (some of the items are less than a cup of coffee), and so far they seem good. None of the products have bothered my sensitive skin, too, which is always a big win in my book.

So far the products that are really standing out to me are the hyaluronic acid (for intense moisture), the lactic acid (helps me wake up with glowing skin), the ascorbic tetraisopalmitate solution (to help with uneven skin tone) and niacinamide (to help with breakouts).

FACE IT

I've been trying to avoid the fact that my skin isn't what it once was, but after my 32nd birthday I decided it was finally time for me to face it (quite literally) and accept that the wrinkles and lines aren't going anywhere, so I best get to treating them in any which way I can. This Borghese Radiante Revitalize + Firm mask (which you can see in this Instagram) makes a noticeable difference when it comes to getting glowy skin and I love that I only need to wear it for a few minutes (aka it's perfect for the times I need a quick pick-me-up). I always remember my Mom using this brand, and now I understand why. The results really are amazing! (FYI, the Instagram post that I featured this mask in is sponsored, but this post is in no way, shape or form sponsored and wasn't required by the brand. I just genuinely adore sharing things I love as much as possible!)

Another product I'm loving is rose hip oil. I'm a big fan of allll the facial oils, but I notice the biggest difference in lines/scars/acne when I use rosehip oil. I just ran out of my bottle, and I swear my skin looks worse without a few drops of this oil. Obviously ordering this in bulk ASAP!

HEAD GAMES

Not sure what I love more about the Ouai Wave Spray- what it does to my hair, or the scent. It's by far the best wave spray I've ever used (it actually makes my curly hair wavy, without being sticky), and no joke, sometimes I spray it on my hair instead of wearing perfume because it smells that good!

Β

Speaking of scents and things having to do with our heads, I've recently been using Aura Cacia's frankincense essential oil to help with my headaches and migraines. Our yoga instructor in Cabo gave me the tip, and it is by far one of the best things I've ever used to help my migraines. Just a few drops on my temples and the pain disappears faster than I can say "migraine".
