I made you something you can eat AND put on your skin. By which I mean I made you something you will want to eat and it smells like you can eat it, but you should only put it on your skin. I’m super confusing, I know. But this stuff is super amazing! Using it is almost like taking a piece of pumpkin pie and having a food fight with yourself. Except it looks nothing like pumpkin pie and a food fight will leave you with a giant mess where as this scrub will leave you with glowing smooth skin. Soooo, if your wildest dream has always been to have a food fight, well here’s your chance…..
To make your own pumpkin body scrub you will need:
1/4 cup coffee grounds (the fresher the better)
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
2 (heaping) tablespoons of brown sugar
2 (heaping) tablespoons of epsom salt
2 (heaping) teaspoons of coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
A pinch of nutmeg
*You may want to decrease or completely eliminate the spices if you have sensitive skin.
1. Place everything in a medium size bowl. Mix until well combined.
2. If you wish, make your own label. To make my label, I used scallop-edged scissors to cut a piece of paper from an old grocery bag.
3. Pour your scrub into the jar, then affix the label. Keep refrigerated and use within one week of making it.
I am a huge fan of finding products that give me the results I want all while taking up less of my time and even less of my budget. I know that’s a lot to ask for, so whenever I do find something worthwhile I will definitely be sharing it with you guys!
So without further ado, the first product review for Runway Chef-
Anyone who has ever gotten a micro or peel knows how ridiculously clean and amazing your skin feels afterwards (definitely not during!). Using a plain old scrub or mask never achieves quite the same effects but monthly micros can start to add up.
Sooooo,I did some research and came across this little duo from Olay. Since it was only $22, I thought “What do I have to lose…besides some dead skin cells?” I was very pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use, how quick it was (can’t beat 2 minutes!) and even more surprised by the wonderful results. Let’s just say there will be no more micro appointments for this girl!
