Bridal Shower

Since many of our guests were from out-of-town, my wedding shower wasn’t the typical 3 months before the wedding, but instead the day before (in case you haven’t noticed by now, I rarely do what you would consider “typical”). Nonetheless, I think it ended up working out for the best, as it allowed all the ladies to have a relaxing afternoon together, a “calm before the storm” if you will. My good friend Penelope graciously hosted, and she did a spectacular job! A huge, huge thank you to her for a lovely afternoon!

I am wearing- Dress: BCBG Max Azria, Shoes: Zara, Jacket: Vintage, Necklace: Borrowed from my MOH, Bag: Chanel.

*A side story concerning my dress- I knew I had to incorporate BCBGMAXAZRIA into my wedding one way or another. See basically, they’re the reason I am now a married woman (and they don’t even know it!). A few years back, I was working at BCBG, when the Mr. came into say “Hi” to his friend’s girlfriend (my coworker). She introduced us, and well, the rest is history. So thank you BCBG for helping me find the love of my life! Who knew there was more to retail jobs then just a little ol’ paycheck?! *

*Most of the above images are mine, but I did include a few taken by some of my friends*

Engagement Party Playlist

This past weekend we flew back to Indy as our parents were hosting an engagement party for us. They did a wonderful job with the event, as was probably apparent in how I ate and drank waaaaay too much.

While we were not responsible for the decor or food, the one thing Dave and I were in charge of was coming up with a play list. The selection of songs we came up with could be used not only for an engagement party but also a wine tasting, a cozy gathering with friends, background noise for a romantic meal at home, or just to put you in a relaxed mood. Here our some of the songs that made the list-

1.I don’t wanna miss a thing-Aerosmith

2. I Do-Colbie Caillat

3. Better Together-Jack Johnson

4. You’re Beautiful-James Blunt

5. Amazed-Lonestar

6. What A Wonderful World-Louis Armstrong

7. To the Moon and Back-Savage Garden

8. Amazing-Seal

9. This Kiss-Faith Hill

10. Accidentally in Love-The Counting Crows

You can also never go wrong with any Michael Buble or Frank Sinatra song :)
