Reflecting on 2012 I realize that it has been a fabulous, at times trying, but over-all successful year both for the blog and personally. Looking back at a lot of my earlier posts (which you are not allowed to judge me for!!!) makes me want to cringe (Was I suffering a temporary loss of sight when I put that outfit on?!? Did a 2 year old take these pictures?! Ummm did I actually think the things I said were funny???!!), but it also makes me happy to see how far I’ve come, how much I’ve learned and how much the blog has grown. Thank you all so much for reading along & for all of your continued support! It means the absolute world to me! I hope you enjoy the highlights (of Food, Fashion, Fun, Travel & DIY Projects) that I’ve put together below. As for 2013, I have lots of fun projects in the works, but I would also love to hear if there are things you would like to see more of, or if you have any suggestions. Please let me know in the comments.
Most importantly, cheers to an even better 2013!

My first Video
Blazer: H&M (similar), Tank: Express, Skirt (similar) & Necklace: Forever 21, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Chanel, Sunnies: H&M (borrowed from the Mr.)
As of late, my brain seems to have gone missing and consequently I have been forgetting everything!
For example, I completely forgot to post this outfit when I posted the Paris pictures. And this was my favorite outfit! Oy vey! Someone please help me find my brain….
P.S. I tried to make the most of the clothes I brought to Europe by wearing them more than once….you can see how else I wore the blazer here and the skirt here.
Although it may seem like we spent a lot of time
not enough time shopping, champagning it up, and stuffing our faces, we did manage to fit in some “typical” tourists attractions….
Notre Dame- In awe of how gorgeous this was!
One of the many beautiful stain glass windows found within
The Louvre- In awe, again, of all the amazing artwork. Also, notice the hearts in the stone up there? People used to draw a symbol in the stones to keep track of how many they made in order to get paid correctly.
Incredible detail, even on the ceiling
Boat tour on the Seine (pictured above is the backside of Notre Dame as well as some house boats)
Eiffel Tower-No words needed!
Place de la Concorde
And we ended the trip with dinner (which I talked about here) & a show at Lido
Best steak and frites in Paris (aka eat-this-and-gain-twenty-pounds!)
Taking a break from champagning (is that a word??? if not, I’m making it one!) for a very French, very elegant, very insanely delicious lunch by a Michelin star chef at the beautiful and picturesque Hotel La Briqueterie
In-room picnic- including fresh bread, meats, cheeses and olives from (you’ll never believe this!) a drugstore (side note: this is why I now want to move to Paris, because, let’s be real, who wouldn’t want to go pick up some band-aids & leave with fresh bread and macaroons?! They also have a book section (that incudes many Chanel books)….what’s not to love?!)
Laduree macaroons in Paris are a must!
Dinner at Lido
Best hot chocolate (it was ridiculously rich and creamy!) in Paris (and probably the world) at Angelina’s
Shirt (similar, with pink lace) Pants (similar), Shoes (similar) & Sunnies : H&M, Jacket: Thrifted (similar), Bag: Chanel
Bow-ties and bright colors seemed like the appropriate thing to cheer up a gloomy day, while taking sophisticated tours around Paris.
