While it’s hard to pick just a few, here are some of my favorite moments/things from Santorini…
Fig and Pistachio Trees
In Akrotiri, the excavation site of a B.C. village believed to be the inspiration for Atlantis
How the locals buy their seafood-this gypsy drives slowly, announces what he has for sale via a megaphone.
There are more than 250 churches on Santorini (we were told each family has their own). I just love the blue dome tops! (the land in the background is the still active volcano)
I could swim in an infinity pool for, well, infinity…..
I felt like I was walking in a history book with some of the old buildings.
Every morning’s breakfast was always accompanied by fresh pastries & bread along with butter, kiwi jam, raspberry jam, fresh honey (literally the BEST honey I have ever had) and Nutella. Believe me when I say I literally would have eaten this and only this for breakfast!
Loved all the octopus art!
Kiwi Mojitos by the pool
Walking down 300+ steps to get to Ammoudi Bay (more on that later)
