I have a confession to make: I am the biggest bargain shopper you might ever meet (ok, besides my Mom). I am constantly on the hunt for the latest and greatest deal, I refuse to pay full price for basically anything (there’s always a discount code or coupon somewhere), I may or may not have a panic attack anytime I have to spend more than $20 on an item, and I am probably the only girl who freaks out when her husband buys her nice things (and just so we’re clear, by freak out, I mean “Why did you spend so much money?” freak out, not “I’m so excited!” freak out). All that being said, I love nice things, whether it be designer bags, good denim or a well-made shoe. To find these items at lower price points (because you know I’m not paying full price!), I’ve always been a big consignment store shopper. But trust me when I say, not all consignment stores are created equal (some should probably consider a name change to “Junk Store”). Suffice to say, when I find a good secondhand shop, I quickly become a loyal customer. Crossroads Trading Company is one such shop. I may or may not frequent both (yes, both) NYC locations on a regular (read: weekly) basis. I love the deals I can find on designer shoes, high-end denim, and other brand name items, and I also love that I can sell back some of my clothes that I no longer use (hello more money to shop with!). If you’ve been reading RC for any amount of time I’m sure you’ve even seen some of the fabulous items I’ve picked up for amazing prices. Another reason I love Crossroads? They have locations all over the country. Translation: When you and your two blogging besties live nowhere near each other, you can still go shopping “together” at the same store. Grace, Luci and I all had so much fun shopping at our different Crossroads stores, texting each other pictures of what we got, discussing all the good deals we found, and planning how we would style the pieces for this month’s 3×3 style post. Until we can shop together in person (really soon!!), this is the perfect solution. Hop on over to Grace’s blog and Luci’s blog to see what pieces they scored and how they styled them and keep scrolling to see how I styled the Current/Elliott jeans and plaid scarf that I picked up.
