Tank & Scarf-I hate to admit this but they’re so old I can’t remember where they’re from, Leather Mini-thrifted (Buffalo Exchange), Bracelet-bought while in Santorini, Bag-Chanel, Shoes-Express
Last night we went to check out the “Little Black Jacket” exhibit.
Unfortunately, as much as I try to justify it, a wedding budget does not include a “little black jacket” (food for thought-I wonder if it would include “a little white jacket”….yes, I’m talking to you Mr. Runway Chef).
For now I’ll just stick to reinventing some of my own basics (a leather mini, striped tank & black bag) by adding a pop of color and some fun shoes.
These are some pictures I snapped with my phone of this incredible exhibit. The “little black jacket” truly is a versatile and timeless piece as is showcased in Karl Lagerfeld’s photography. If you’re in NYC, you have until this Friday, June 15th to check it out at 18 Wooster St. Click here for more info. (The exhibit is free & they are giving out free poster prints of three of the photos, including SJP’s, so all the more reason to make sure you go see it.)
P.S. After seeing this child in a little black jacket and thinking it was the most adorable thing ever, I informed the Mr. that I had just been inspired to do a family photo (when we have kids of course) with all of us in “the jacket”, at which point he laughed and promptly walked off. Ugh men…..
